Hi Everybody,
I was wondering if anybody would be able to tell me what would be the easiest to learn ftp program, and where to get it from. I have always used the web host's uploader and now need to use a ftp program. Thanks in advance....

Hey Wolf, Do you want to purchase one or a freebie? I use WS_FTP Pro and like it alot, it's like $65 though. Here's a link to a list of some free ones: [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

I have heard that the first one on the list is good: WS_FTP LE
You can always try different ones and see what you like, most have trial periods.

I started out on CuteFTP years ago, but I've been using WS-FTP for so long that I can't even remember what CuteFTP was like. LOL Those are the only two I've ever used though.

I think it's all just a matter of choice...some people prefer other programs. if you truly want to find the "easiest" to use, you'll have to try quite a few of them so you can compare. not everyone likes the same things.....

I use WS_FTP LE mainly coz its easy to work with and its free.

i use cute ftp and love it, very glad i spent the money on it ..... ws_ftp le i couldnt get to work, then again i didnt know what an ftp client was when i tried it so that could have something to do with it.

I have used them all and i think 1's just as good as the other really. some have a prettier interface than others but, in the end they do the same thing. Some may have a few features like automatically swithing between ASCII and Binary or setting up a session profile which is very cool. I am using WS_FTP PRO.
