I'm using version 7.8 and the only blocks showing up are the original blocks. Nothing I upload to the blocks directory is available to turn on in the admin. Modules I upload to Modules directory are visible in the admin though....so that's one good thing.

Any reply would be appreciated.

only reason I can think of is that the blocks must be named like so block-DOOMS_DAY_CLOCK.php

I found them.
In the admin under the blocks admin they are listed in the dropdown box to add a new box.

Thanks a lot for trying to help me out.
Glad there is one active forum at least for phpNuke users.
