One of my nuke sites was recently hacked, not the entire site but the forums. The hacker was able to upload IRC bots to send out spam, and 386 viruses...

Now I checked what version we are running og PHPBB and it says 2.11.

I need help one how to upgrade these forums step by step so we dont loose anything as this site is 7 years old...

Do we have to upgrade version by version?

Where do we get the upgrades or downloads to accomplish our task...

Any and all help from the nuke comminuty would be appreciated...

You will have to upgrade version by version. icon_sad.gif

Good news is chatserv usually does mod like upgrade instructions which are pretty easy to follow. [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

If you have any problems during the upgrade feel free to post your questions and we will try to help you get through it.

Make sure you make backups of everything before you begin so if you do have any issues you can always go back and try again.

Hello Telli,

Can I not just upgrade the forums? or do I have to upgrade the entire nuke site....

I went to nukefixes, but can't find the downloades for BBtoNuke 2.11 to 2.12 etc etc etc???

Ok I found the files BBtoNuke NP so I'll start the upgrades but I didnt see one for 2.0.22?

ll'l report back after I complete this task....

Phew ---- that was a job in a half from 2.11 to 2.22 but everything is working well except the arcade?


I assume I'll have to upgrade that script as well?

Where can I get those upgrades for the arcade for v2.22 of PHPbb

Thanks Telli,

It took awhile, but we finally got there, a few bumps but the forums are back up and running, private messages are also working well.

Just the arcade throwing this error...

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not query arcade config information

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1146 Table 'nuke_nuke.ARCADE_TABLE' doesn't exist

SELECT * FROM ARCADE_TABLE

Line : 21
File : functions_arcade.php

Any idea what we should do? Do we just reinstall the arcade or is there an upgrade for 2.22?

Your missing the database table definitions for the arcade.( they define the table name) Check your backup constants.php file and just grab them from there.

Well that did it I am back in operation, I just need to reload the games but didn't loose anything else, so thats a huge relief..

Oops Telli I noticed one thing that I can't seem to remember how I did it, that I hope you help me with...

In the forums profile page I had a Details: link that said something like this

Details: View Xtrax's Account Profile

The link would take users to the Your Account module for that user so usrs can view their main profile...

Do you have any idea on how to do this? I still have the details part but no link appears?

Any help would be appreciated..
