I left a spades league and started my own in yahoo, the head admin told me i cant use his rules in my own league, i dont see this rule anywere is that true?

It depends on what you mean by using his rules. If he means that you can't play by the same rules as you did in the old league, then he's wrong. He can't stop that. If he means that you can't copy rules that he wrote for his league page and put them on your own, he's right.
