I have a banner with a button on it that links to a file url.
When a user with Windows XP SP2 presses on this button, a new window is opened but the window is closed immediately.
This happens only with links to files and only when the explorer opens the download dialog (the dialog that asks you to decide if you want to save or open the file).

Does anybody encountered this problem and know how to handle it?

It�s not exactly the problem I have. The problems I have are not with the pop-up blocker, it happens even if it�s closed. The �pop-up� window is opening but immediately closed if a file save/open dialog should appear.
