I host with Yahoo! Through them I installed PHP-Nuke 6.5. Next I

downloaded version 8.0 from php-nuke.org and installed updates.

I did not get any error messages, so I assume the upgrade went

fine.

Next I created a God account.

When I try to change the default theme, nothing happens.

1. STARTING HERE: [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

2. Under "Web Site Configuration" I choose THEMES

(http://xxx.yyyyy.org/admin.php?op=themes).

3. I selected a theme from the dropdown menu and click "save changes."

**In case it matters, my AutoTheme module is activated and I do NOT allow users to change themes.

Oddly, though DeepBlue is the default, the one showing in the dropdown menu is 3D-Fantasy.

The same issue is affecting the "General Site Info." Nothing I enter is saved after I click "save changes."

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Denise

Sounds like the config table didnt get updated. Can you attach a copy of your admin/modules/settings.php and a copy of your nuke_config database table?

Thanks for the prompt reply. The files are attached. FYI: For enhanced security I changed the nuke_ prefix to pingb_

Attached Files
nuke_config.txt (4.31 KB, Downloaded: 16 Time(s))

So nothing saves in the admin config? Does it redirect back to the same admin config page when you press save? Try changing one of the save functions to check for a database error then try saving that section.

function savethemes

   function savethemes($xDefault_Theme, $xoverwrite_theme) {
      global $prefix, $db, $admin_file;
      $xDefault_Theme = filter($xDefault_Theme, "nohtml", 1);
      $xoverwrite_theme = intval($xoverwrite_theme);
      $result = $db->sql_query("UPDATE ".$prefix."_config SET Default_Theme='$xDefault_Theme', overwrite_theme='$xoverwrite_theme'");
      if (!$result) {
         die(mysql_error());
      }
      Header("Location: ".$admin_file.".php?op=themes");
      die();
   }

Now try saving your theme and see what happens.

Now I get the following message:

"Unknown column 'overwrite_theme' in 'field list'"

And, yes, nothing saves in the admin config? It redirects back to the same admin config page when I press save.

Run this query in phpmyadmin:

ALTER TABLE nuke_config ADD overwrite_theme varchar (255) NOT NULL default '';

See if that fixes it.

I had not added any data so I just deleted and started over. That took care of the problem. Thank you VERY much for your help.
