Untill now I've always stuck with one theme. I have now created 2 new themes for my site. The problem is my main theme is dark, mostly black-blue-grey. My new themes are light. One pink and one white.

My problem is a lot of people on my forums dont use the default text color when making forum posts. They like to spice it up with many colors. When you switch to the new themes it is hard to read these forum posts. Especially when people have used white or any bright text, it is washed out or not visible at all.

I would imagine there isn't really a way around this problem. My only thought is to stick to my original theme only, but that kind of sucks. Else create other dark themes.

I am just hoping to get advice because I know others have had to run into this problem as well. Though looking across many other forums, I notice not that many members edit their posts with other colors, most use the default text color.

Thanks for any help!

well...you basically summed it up right there. It just all depends on how you want to run your site.

If you like your members happy, no other choice but to stick with the darker themes or you can simply post a "warning" message stating it is hard to read certain forum color posts and if they could refrain from doing so.

Even if you remove those other colors from the selection, they will just clamor for the colors to come back if they have become accustomed to doing it...so it all boils down to...are your members needs/craziness important to you?
