I tried to theme the background and border but no luck. Similiar to how this site has it pulled off. So if anybody gets time and whats to help me out. No rush.

well I had no ideah how to even get started on it. I am a .css dummy so. I was kinda wondering why, you just included the text. I still gave it my best shot to figure it out myself, haha.

Here ya go...just put this at the bottom of the style.css file...changing the colors to your needs. Sorry for the confusion icon_razz.gif
.helpline {
background-image: url(../../../themes/StrataGen/images/bar.gif);
background-repeat: repeat-x;
background-color : #4B4B4B;
BORDER-TOP: #2A2A2A 1px solid;
BORDER-BOTTOM: #8A8A8A 1px solid;
BORDER-LEFT: #2A2A2A 1px solid;
BORDER-RIGHT: #8A8A8A 1px solid;
font-size: 11px;
color: #927EA6;
}

This should work for you...I'm also a css noob. You will need to create a bar.gif image and put it in your StrataGen image folder.

Alright...what I have found is another css file in the forums directory called "forums.css" (doh!) you need to find this:
.helpline{background:#D8D8D8;border-style:none}


change that to this:
.helpline{
background-color : #D8D8D8;
BORDER-TOP: #2A2A2A 1px solid;
BORDER-BOTTOM: #8A8A8A 1px solid;
BORDER-LEFT: #2A2A2A 1px solid;
BORDER-RIGHT: #8A8A8A 1px solid;
font-size: 11px;
color: #927EA6;
}

Changing the colors to your needs. Whew! hope this does it! icon_mrgreen.gif

no luck there I had already tried that. Till we come up with a fix for it I just made the text match the blue. It will hold me off for now.

In overall_header.tpl find this,

/* This is the line in the posting page which shows the rollover
help line. Colour value in row2 */

and change to the obvious

Would need to change the colors to fit your needs.

It worked for me.
