The streaming mp3 player is wonderful, but I am concerned about bandwidth usage, especially if someone leaves it just running.

Does anyone know if the songs are downloaded once when they are played and then replayed from the computer, or if they get re-downloaded everytime they get played?

Thanks!

Once they listen to the song for the first time it is then stored on thier computer. So no they arnt using your bandwidth.

After experimenting a bit and checking bandwith numbers on my CP, I'm quite sure the songs are redownloaded everytime they are played. This could be a problem if someone starts the player and leaves the room and lets it play continuously for awhile.

Any ideas on how to have the player automatically stop either at the end of a playlist or after so many minutes? Right now the player cycles within a playlist continuously.

Thanks for any help!

Anytime you see an image or hear music it is cached on the computer when the image or song is called again the computer looks there first for it. If it is there it will play from the computer. All systems are set up that way unless the user has changed or edit them not to work this way. (Option in IE to allways check for newer versions of stored pages) As far as script well I guess you could use a timeout for the popup window but Im not sure that it could be used for the block flash itself.
