Hi all,
Some info about what I have so far, I have PHP-Nuke 8.0, and from what I know is that its not patched.
This whole patching thing to prevent hacking into my website and all that, what do you recommend for a newbie like me to do? I would still like to be able to use normal PHP-Nuke themes. I downloaded the latest patch from [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] (Nuke 8.0 Patched 3.3) But in the ReadMe file there is no explanation of how to install it.

I've also notice few other sites that have different patching from:
[ Register or login to view links on this board. ] (Raven-Nuke 7.6)
and [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

If I want to be 99.9% secure which one would you recommend, even though RavenNuke is 7.6 and doesn't have 7.8 or 8.0, if I install that later on will it be easy to upgrade it to 7.8 or 8.0 if they release one?
If I install Nuke 8.0 Patched 3.3 is it as good as RavenNuke 7.6 or which is better, not only just better but which is more secure as I don't want people attacking my website icon_biggrin.gif

Please tell me what you think I should do, which CMS(patch) to install and tell me why (better? secure? theme compatible? easier to upgrade in the future? etc.)

I know its alot of questions, sorry but I am new to all this icon_smile.gif

The reason raven's uses 7.6 is because it supposed to be the most secure release. Soon he is releasing another distro with all of the latest chatserv patches.

In my opinion if your going to use nuke, raven's distro is the best for security and support.
