Well no worries here, I give credit where credit is always due!

I guess the problem I am having is finding the URL in the forum module

modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=$topic_id

Mine are appen viewtopic '.topicid.' blah blah...

What files should I be looking in to make the changes to the URL

Hi telli, can this code also work for the news module? im running an article site and i would love to use this like what im seeing here in codezwiz....

if it also does work for the news module what files do i exactly insert it into....

thanks in advance telli... would really really appreciate it very much if i can solve this.

If you have issues after you try editing the files and adding it in then post back with any errors or questions. Just remember to make back ups of any files you edit.

in my article.php and its not working do i have to edit my .htaccess file?

or do i have to place the 2nd code in another file other than article.php?

Do you have google tap or some kind of seo for rewriting your url's on your site now? This won't work unless you do. You can try searching google for google tap you may find someone that is holding a copy or someone that is keeping up on it.

yes i do have google tap installed what i cant figure out is what exact files do i place the codes into....

You will have to edit your google tap file for the module and add the new link also edit your .htaccess and add the new rewrite url.
