he he sorry, i have an image, but im going applying the glint effect to that, but i only want to apply it to certain parts of the image, and at different times. Ok hope i explain that correctly

Now i cropped the parts i want to glint in psp, but the image i export is square rather than the shape of the piece i want to glint. Hope im still making sence

When i import this into flash and then mask the glint into this cropped image the glint comes out in the square shape of the cropped image rather than just the little piece that i want.

In case im not making sence, imagine there a triangle, u crop out the triangle, and then import into flash, its a square image in flash, when u aply the glint the effect will appear on the whole square rather than just the triangle.

Ok, gotcha. Here's what you do on both layers where the image is. Make sure that the image is selected in the first frame, and that no keyframes are further alont the movie (otherwise you'll have the original image in those keyframes) Hit Ctrl+b to break apart the image. Use the eraser to remove any parts of the image you don't want the effect to apply to. Convert to symbol, then copy the keyframe to the other layer. (so that both layers of the image are the cropped version. Apply the mask, and you're done. icon_biggrin.gif
