Hi Guys,

How do I change the default background in the BS theme from black to white (like you have on your site)?

open the themes/BlackSilver/theme.php near the top you will see $bgcolor1 - $bgcolor4 change those to the following


$bgcolor1 = "FAFAF9";
$bgcolor2 = "FAFAF9";
$bgcolor3 = "FBFCFC";
$bgcolor4 = "#FBFCFC";


Further down look for


echo "<body bgcolor=\"#000000\" text=\"#000000\" leftmargin=\"0\" topmargin=\"0\" rightmargin=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\">";


Change that


echo "<body bgcolor=\"#FAFAF9\" text=\"#000000\" leftmargin=\"0\" topmargin=\"0\" rightmargin=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\">";


Open the themes/BlackSilver/forums/forums.css near the top look for


body{background:#000000;color:#000000;font:10px Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;margin:0px;padding:0;


Change it to


body{background:#FAFAF9;color:#000000;font:10px Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;margin:0px;padding:0;


Open the themes/BlackSilver/style/style.css near the top look for


background: #000000;


Chage it to


background: #FAFAF9;

it was the css file in the modules/coppermine/templates folder.

Hi Telli,

Did you mean the modules/coppermine/theme/default folder? That is the only place where I find a style.css. Anyway, i've tried several changes but they do not change on my site. Can you give me a bit more direction, as in step-by-step, please? icon_rolleyes.gif

Also, do you have an area on your site that deals with editing .css files?
