Sure you have to add a connection inside the file to the database.

mysql_connect("localhost","username","password") or die("Unable to connect to database");

@mysql_select_db("dbName") or die("Unable to select database");


Or for a persisant connection

mysql_pconnect("localhost","username","password") or die("Unable to connect to database");

@mysql_select_db("dbName") or die("Unable to select database");

i'll be giving this a try. if my site monitors another server and is connected unless the connection is broken then i should use the 2nd right?
