I need to make a boot disk for a windows xp program i have i was wondering if you could advise me.
How do i make this boot disk & what does it do.

Do you need a Windows XP boot disk? You say you need it for some program you have, what's the program? If you just need the XP boot disks here ya go: [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

the program is style xp.
the warning it gives me is as follows:-
bootsceens can be dangerous.
Your c:\boot.ini file will be backed up to c:\boot.bkk.
If there is a problem, copy this file back.
Please make a repair diskette or have your Windows XP Boot CD handy.

You're not a pain icon_razz.gif . I'm sorry I can't be of more help, when it comes to altering the boot.ini I tend not to get involved or give advice. I have seen to many mishaps when doing this. Good luck and sorry.

If u have ne problems u can boot into safe mode (F8 before windows is initiated in the boot sequence) and restore the .bkk file or insert the XP cd and boot to it and choose "repair." u could also do the last known good thing too.
