Right now i have the protector but i herd of the one you guys use i guess u went from the protector to the sectiontal or something i cant spell it please tell me what one is the best. Also alot of people have a scrolling photo gallery block for copermine do you guys no where i can get it as allways thanks mike.

The best one is the one that works the best for your site. Not much of an answer huh? That's because it depends on a lot of variables, such as site traffic...Personally I went from Protector to Sentinel because I was having slow down issues...and at that time I had little traffic, maybe it was something else...all I know is when I switched the slow downs vanished. Of course these are my personal opinions.

If you have coppermine installed in your Nuke, just go into your blocks...there are a lot of coppermine blocks that come with the program, unless you're talking about a standalone coppermine.

I dont have the block for the photo gallerry and the site is like down or its closed i dont no.

Any one no where i can get the scrolling block also how do i uninstall the protector and get the new one is there a uninstall sql or something and tells me what files to delete it all thanks.

Some one tell me how to set this up please there is like 10 differnt things and i dont no what to do .....

And can i some one tell me how to delete the protector......

How to uninstall Protector:

You have to run the install file to uninstall, make sure to use tha install file that came with your version of Protector.

Don't forget to open up your header.php (this is located in your nuke root directory). and remove what you added there. ie;

Find this code -> require_once("mainfile.php");
if(!eregi("admin.php",$_SERVER['PHP_SELF'])) { require_once("includes/blocker.php"); }

Remove this part -> if(!eregi("admin.php",$_SERVER['PHP_SELF'])) { require_once("includes/blocker.php"); }

It should look like this after you remove that line:

require_once("mainfile.php");

Uninstall Protector before installing Sentinel. Once you have Protector uninstalled, post what you need to know about installing Sentinel...BTW Sentinel has a very good install readme, I see the version 2.0 has become final now, I would use that version.

deleted protector got the new 2.0 one i dont no how to set it up at all its on but i dont no how to set it up i go to NukeSentinel� Configuration and i dont no how to set any thing up can u tell me the stuff i need to be protected.

So you have it installed now? Are the Image mouseovers working? (hold the mouse over the red question marks for the descriptions of settings) then click the" NukeSentinel� Configuration" and go to town! when in doubt just set each category to: Email, Block and Default Page. (look up more info on Ravens forums about the "Harvester" and "Referers" settings) Then once you understand more about what does what, you can change whatever you like in the settings to what you want.

If you didnt get sentinel 2.0 Final , you should do that, it just came out and includes documentation on how to install it and what the features do. The RC* releases did not have documentaion included.
