I am trying to up load a bunch (50-80) gif pics. I converted all of these from jpegs to gif's. but the files are far too big. how do I shrink the file size?? making the pic smaller is ok.

Also is there a way to mass change jpegs into gifs?

my YM is

Thanks in advance

If you have Adobe Photoshop, a free trial can be obtained via the Adobe website, can optimise images for the web via the "Save for the web" option on the File toolbar bit. You can change a variety of settings using it and get the filesize and image quality to suit your needs.

icon_biggrin.gif Sure, you can do it!

I don't think you can "mass" change them ie: all at the same time but you can do them individually. Hmm - maybe you can but I am not 100% sure.

Anyway, why don't you download this [ Register or login to view links on this board.] as this will aid you in your quest to make all your pics smaller (in size literally and figuratively) - lol.

Unzip the file and away you shall go! Once you have the program running, open your image(s), resize them (Image -->Resize) and then of course don't forget to save them.

If you need any more help with this, please do not hesitate to come back! It sounds like you are well on your way. icon_wink.gif

You can change the size of all the pics at one time in Photoshop. If you are wanting them all to be the same height/width, it would be very easy to do and you wouldn't have to even open all the files in PS to do it.

What you would do is create an action that resizes the images to the size you want. Then, open 1 of the files you want to resize. Go to File>Automate>Batch. A dialog box will pop up for you to choose the action you just created. You then choose the folder you have the images stored in, where you want the resized images saved, and how you want them named.

It's the next best thing since sliced bread when you're working with tons of images.
