It depends upon the theme you're using. Most themes, however, come with a logo.gif or logo.jpg. Look in your header.php file and find the code that calls the logo. Replace that image link to call your new logo instead. Or, if the sizes of the new logo are identical to the old logo on the theme, you could just name it the same thing, upload it to the same images folder and let it overwrite the old one.
