Ok.. Say I wanted to have a flash intro for the front of my site. How would I go about putting it on the so when someone puts in my website address it will bring the intro up?
Please help..icon_biggrin.gif icon_razz.gif

You would have an index.html file for the flash intro. The index.html file will load before the index.php file. Just make sure that somewhere on the intro there's a enter link or an auto redirect after the intro has finished.

icon_redface.gif OK Im feeling kinda dumb here, but yeah what he said. Im curious too. how do you set up the redirect or "press any key to continue" option, and wheres the anykey? OK not all of us are this slow but someof us are and this would be an interesting topic. I'd like to know more. please dont say look in a book i got enough of those right now. icon_razz.gif icon_smile.gif

O.K. I'm no expert in HTML...I kinda wing it icon_wink.gif I will try and help with the auto redirect and both an image link and text link. Hopefully one of our resident flash gurus will jump in here and save me from to much embarrassment concerning flash (no0b here).

On with the show...

For auto redirect insert this code between the html tags:

<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<TITLE>YOURSITENAME</TITLE>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="10;URL=http://www.YOURSITE.com/index.php/"></HEAD>
<BODY BGCOLOR="black">


*note, you can change the redirect time by changing the "10". 10 is ten seconds. Also make sure to fill in your sites information where needed.

For an image link:

<a href="http://www.YOURSITE.com" target="_blank"><img border=0 src="http://YOURSITE.com/YOURIMAGEDIRECTORY/YOURIMAGE.gif" alt="THISISOPTIONAL"></a


*note, where it says "THISISOPTIONAL"...that's for if you want that little description box to appear while hovering over the link. (sorry, don't know the official name for it)

For a text link:

<A HREF="http://www.YOURSITE.com">Enter</A>


*note, you can change the word "Enter" to what ever you like.
