Avatar picture problem on Your Account module

I'm having some problems with Avatar showing up in my "Your Account" module and showing up on my "Your Buddy" module/block. I've uploaded an avatar through the forums page. The Forum sees the image and the image is uploaded to /modules/Forums/images/avatars/Members. If I go to my account and select the folder Members and choose the correct avatar the avatar shows up correctly on my "Your Buddy" module and in my "Your Account" module. In conclusion how do I make it so that user do not have to do the extra steps to get their avatar to show up on their "Your Buddy" and "Your Account"
