I'd like to have three levels of membership
Guest/Anonymous
Member (automated confirmation)
Preferred Member (manual confirmation)

This way the guest could just come in and browse wherever guests can be.
Members have the next level up of able to browse the capabilities of the site.
Preferred are paid members and have complete access (including downloadable items and gallery views etc).
Can you have these three "levels" is the first question?
The second is how do I change the automated email confirmation to a manual confirmation (once membership fee has cleared)?

Thanks for your time,
drewfy

PS: using PHP Nuke 6.9

Yes this is possible.

phpNuke system can have guest users, members, subscribed users (this is when you make them pay for it) or you can have different user groups which allow certain access based on the amount of points owned by a user and the amount required to get into a certain usergroup.

all of this can be changed from your admin panel.

As for the 2nd question, all phpNuke systems come with email confirmation required. If you have turned it off undo it. i have a feeling this is not what ur talking about. you will have to set up something to confirm when a user has paid, cause i have not come across a system like this yet.

I've nosed around and can't seem to find a subscriber in my 6.9 php nuke. Edit modules in the admin panel has Registered users, all user and admins. Edit user has nothing. I'm just lost, plain and simple.
Hopefully there is hope for me.

How do I set up a subscriber option.?
How can I validate a user...(ie. they don't become a member until I say so).?
