A couple of days ago, I encountered a problem, as described in [ Register or login to view links on this board.] topic. Since then, I have downloaded a java plug-in that seems to have solved it. Now though, it looks like it has caused problems with other things.

I use keytext, both for gaming & general use. When I use it to fill in pre-typed text into documents, or when using it on yahoo, instead of typing the text out, it starts opening random things. For example, if I try to get it to scroll a few lines of text, the my computer folder will open, as will an installation dialogue box for some program, and even notepad documents saved on my desktop.

I've used all sorts of macro progs, keytext, shortkeys, quickkeys, perfect keyboard, you name it, I've probably used it at some point.

The others work, but keytext doesn't. Now, I know that will make you think "well, why doesn't he use one of the others?". To be honest, I find that keytext is the best out of the lot of them, it's the easiest, least time consuming, and most hassle-free of the lot.

I've tried uninstalling it, and fully re-installing it, but to no avail.

Has anyone who uses keytext ever had this problem? If so, did they ever manage to fix it?

PS. The thing I downloaded to fix the yahoo games room issue was the top link on [ Register or login to view links on this board.] page, so it might be that that is causing it to do this.

Not sure if it involves the same problem you are having, yet when I had to install that Sun Java I had several problems with mine. Had to resort to doing a search to find a site that had the old microsoft java virtual machine available. Llike I said, it probably isnt your problem, just a thought though. Have u tried MyFunctionKeys for a macro program? That one is my choice I use and very simple also.
