I'm trying to install some cgi-scripts on my codezhost hosted site, but I'm getting internal server error 500. I'm not sure if I'm installing the script wrong, or if they are being blocked by codezhost. Any ideas telli?

The first line of the cgi files are:

#!/usr/bin/perl

I don't know crap about perl. Can anyone help me with this?

Here is a link to the setup file I'm trying to call: *REMOVED*

am not a pro at using cgi but I do know that Codezhost has cgi enabled. If that came with instructions, just make sure you've followed each one of them correctly.

Thanks taut - I've read and re-read the readme, but I get the above internal error message. My guess is that it has to do with Perl. I have no idea if I have that installed or how to install/configure it.

all Codezhost packages comes with Perl 5.2 already pre-installed. You might want to use the support ticket and see if you can get a quicker answer there. sorry icon_sad.gif

CGI is next in my list of things to learn lol.....

Make sure the files are chmod 755 or they wont work. You have the path correct.

Then something else in the script is misconfigured. It is in the folder right? Try chmod 777. Is there any documentation with it?

I have chmod'd all folders to 755 and 777 with no luck.

Here is the link to the troubleshooting page:
[ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

The download was 3 cgi files and 13 .pm files (ex: TTXData.pm). I created a "scripts" folder in my cgi-bin folder and put the files in the scripts folder. I point my browser to:

*REMOVED*

The above url points to the setup file which is wat the installation instruc's say. That's all I could figure out to do.
