Are you using an FTP client to upload? This is probably the easiest way, if you need a free one theres one in the downloads, it's called: Ws FTP Le. Then just follow install instructions:

From the install instructions:

Installation Notes:

You should change all your templates and language packs

If you haven't added any new bbcode to your forum or any hacks on posting_body
You can obsolete the second step and copy these files to your forum
contrib/bbcode.php ---> includes/bbcode.php
contrib/bbcode.tpl ---> templates/subSilver/bbcode.tpl <--- Themes/YOURTHEME/forums
contrib/posting_body.tpl ---> templates/subSilver/posting_body.tpl <--- Themes/YOURTHEME/forums

So if you haven't modded these files (your own), just use the pre-edited ones that come with the mod instead of editing yours (backup yours first though before overwriting) once you do the above, then just open the modules folder, then open the Forums folder and drag the whole bbcode_box folder into the Forums folder.

For every theme you use you will have to add the bbcode.tpl and posting_body.tpl files to : Themes/YOURTHEME/forums.

Instead of placing these two files into the templates/subSilver folder, place them in your Themes/WHAT EVER THEME(s) YOU USE/forums folder.

contrib/bbcode.tpl ---> templates/subSilver/bbcode.tpl
contrib/posting_body.tpl ---> templates/subSilver/posting_body.tpl

So do this:

contrib/bbcode.tpl ---> Themes/YOURTHEME/forums
contrib/posting_body.tpl ---> Themes/YOURTHEME/forums

If you want to use the BB Code mod in all your themes then yes you do, just these two files though:

contrib/bbcode.tpl ---> Themes/YOURTHEME/forums
contrib/posting_body.tpl ---> Themes/YOURTHEME/forums

Just add it to either all or just the themes you use, or your members use.

You did install this one:
contrib/bbcode.php to the includes folder?
ie; contrib/bbcode.php ---> includes/bbcode.php

and you uploaded the whole folder: bbcode_box into the modules/Forums folder?
