New error msg

Fatal error: Cannot re-assign $this in /usr/home/erinj/public_html/modules/gallery/classes/Album.php on line 449


only change after adding theme "chrismasV2"
where it still worked was :

we added a .htaccess to get rid of error on index.
removing .htaccess does NOT fix the new error
what do it need to fix

let me know what else you need for info
flight gallery is half my sites users fav

Try another theme. Our theme doesnt interfere with your photo album.

Thats where it says the error is.
line 449 is : $this = $tmp;


In no way did i say it was the theme that broke it ... ive tried half the ones i got and that does nothing.
i only met to say that no changes have been made since it was working ... no changes that mean any thing. it didnt have a .htaccess before. I talked to the host.
Any ideas whats wrong

Well found out why gallery dead

server upgraded

have to upgrade gallery now

im not sure how or what to upgrade with

where do i find out how to.

I don't understand how a server upgrade could cause that kind of error. It sounds like there is another program using $this as a variable. Is it possible to change all instances of $this in the gallery mod to something more unique? I've seen that kind of error as well and would like to know if thats an option.

icon_biggrin.gif The answer was to upgrade the gallery if there was another program running $this as a veriable it musta been the upgraded php because all the php galleries crahed. But we figured this wasnt the case because not every gallery that crashed was even from the same developer... coppermine and gallery project galleries failed.

The good news is i got my gallery upgraded finally. icon_mrgreen.gif
