Around December 21st I upgraded the site to nuke 7.6. It has been working fine for a month. Then about noon on Sunday.. poof, the forums and all related modules don't work. I had made no changes to the site above before the forums disappeared. I did make some changes to another site on the same server....

I have 4 websites I run off of one hosting server. The main root site I added the same nuke version, it was in a path of rootdirectory.com/html/index.php.... now it is mainsite.com/index.php The other domains work off out of folders within the root directory and are name based and directed to the folders holding all of their files.

2 of the other domains run php nuke 7.6, rebelgr.com is the one that is messed up. The other domain works perfectly... all forums etc. So I don't think the move above is the problem.

backed up the database on Jan 21st. I delete the database and reloaded the back up.. no change. I installed the 7.6 patch files, no change. I checked the themes, change them, no change. I installed fresh themes, no change.

I am running Protector 1.15b2.

I don't know if I have been hacked or if there is a virus or worm issue, so any help would be appreciated.

Ok here is what I figured out...

When I had my sites configured like this:

hosting server/site1/site2/html/index.php-
hosting server/site1/html/index.php
hosting server/site1/site3/index.php

It all worked fine. But by switching the paths to:

hosting server/site1/site2/html/index.php-
hosting server/site1/index.php
hosting server/site1/site3/index.php

The forums for site2 got lost. The data was still there, but the tables wouldn't show up for the forums or private messaging.

The only configuration I haven't tried is:

hosting server/site1/site2/index.php-
hosting server/site1/index.php
hosting server/site1/site3/index.php

I have spent 3 days on this, so I am not inclined at the moment to make any major changes until I have checked the site fully.

Any suggestions as to why the paths would get crossed up?
