Does anyone know how to create competition forms?
Where the person who is entering the competition fills out the following information;

Their name,
Their email address,
Their Phone number,
Their answer to the question.

Then this information is automatically emailed to myself after the enter button is clicked.

I’m unsure if this is possible to do and create, but if anyone knows how it can be done or is able to make one, please get in touch.

So you just want someone to fill out that info and have it emailed to you? Nothing else? I could make one of those pretty quick if that's all you need.

Yeah, its just a competition form which the users of my site will fill out.

The Question will be stated above all of the need information.

Site Username * must enter*
Their Full name * must enter*
Email Address * must enter *
Phone Number * must enter*
Answer to The question.. * must enter*

and thats all I need on this one.

Is it possible to have it linked so the only way the users can enter is by login into their account?

PS. Thanks a lot on the logout coding, it works great.

Yeah, you just set the module access level to "registered user's only". I'm almost done with the module, will post it here in a minute. It's just a tweak on the feedback module included with nuke.

Alright, this should work for ya. Like I said, it's just an emailer, so you won't be harnesing the power of SQL, but it will get you started.

Extract the attached file and maintain the folder structure. Activate the module for "registered users" only.

By default, it will email the $adminmail email address. If you want it to go somewhere else, just edit line 96 of the index.html file from:

   $to = $adminmail;

TO

   $to = "YOUR-EMAIL@DOMAIN.COM";

Hope this helps!

MJ

Well, where is your website hosted? However you went about installing phpnuke originally is the same way you go about installing add-ons or mods.

FTP into your server, or use the control panel, etc...however you normally get in, and then put these files in there while maintaining their structure.

i.e. html folder, modules folder, *Competition, index.php where * is a new folder and then index.php is a new file. The language folder and file go under the competition folder.

Once you upload the module, go to your admin area (http://www.your-domain.com/admin.php)

1) Click on Modules
2) Find the module you want to edit (Competition) and click edit
3) Select "registered users only" from the "Who can view this" drop down menu
4) Save changes
5) Activate module with the "Activate" link on the page you're taken to after saving previous changes

Good luck! icon_eek.gif
