I am looking for a way to set a limit on how many posts a user can make in a 24 hour period. I have seen this mod listed at Nuke Korea, but their download is not working.

I would really like it if I could make it so that this did not apply to mods and admins, but I will do anything at this point to stop some of my members who tend to post alot more than the rest of my members.

I have also looked at the code Telli put up to [ Register or login to view links on this board.] and plan to use that in the mean time or in conjunction with a mod like the one I am requesting.

Thanks for any help provided.

EDIT: I misread Telli's mod, it is for subject length, not post length, so if there is a mod for post length as well, I would be interested.

I found something at phbbhacks.com that may do the trick, I am not sure if it needs porting, but I am going to give it a try. I will let everyone know how it goes

Ok I installed it, and I there are no visible errors, however i tested it with a dummy account and the limit does not work. ANy help with this mod would be appreciated as it looks like it requires no port.

The problem has to be in includes/function_post.php

or

admin/admin_users.php

Again any help appreciated.

EDIT: I have attached the modified files from my site, if anyone wants to look at them for reference.

Ok, I went back through and re-edited the two files i listed from my backups and re-tried. The mod works, so have at it people who are having power poster problems. Tested and morks like a charm.

One downside, it cannot differentiate between regular users and moderators.
