id like a forum block that shows latest posts but only shows threads that you have permission to see.

the blocks i have tried will only show all post titles , even the ones you cant read, or just the open forum ones.

anyone got a lbock or can point me in the right direction to mod them myself

You have the nsn groups working in your forums? Or do you mean the phpbb groups? There is a scrolling forum block under "Media" >> Our Scripts >> Misc. Blocks that doesnt show hidden or posts there not supposed to see.

unfortunately it still shows post titles even if you dont have permission to read that forum

as i have open and a private areas , i dont really want people without access seeing post titles ( especially if it is about them heh )

id like to be able to show latest post in certain catagories depending on which group you are in, unfortunately right now this is a bit beyond my php

what woud help though is an expample of how to check what nsn group / phpbb group the logged user in in

and if there is a simple way to limit which catagories are scanned by the forum block
