I wanted to try and include a html table in a phpbb forum post. Ive enabled html but the post still displays the code rather than the table.

Is this actually possible to do?

There are 2 places to edit. In your forum admin, in Configuration there is a feild for you to add the HTML tags you want allowed. Also, you will need to read this link:

OK I think Ive understood that. I need to add the allowable html tags in. Just a quick question if I allow html and add the allowable tags so I can post the table can I then change it back to non html and still have the table display or will it revert back to the code. I only want to add the table once off to a post and will have no need to use html again with the forum.

I decided to photoshop the table and add it that way, wasnt really keen to have the html enabled all the time.
