hi

i dont know if anybody here knows anything about msn websites.

i have made a flash pic that works fine on my normal website , but to put it into msn i just cant get it to work.

i know i need to have the swf file in the same place as the html which on my normal site as i say works fine, but in msn (which im still new to!!! ) i cant find a way or a place of where to store the swf i can only upload pics.

is there somewhere in the coding that i can tell it to pick up the object from my normal website.

Not sure i have made any sense at all

is there anyone who can help me plweassseeeeee

hugs, Shelley

HI Becca...

I sed to use MSN many many moons ago and as far as I can remember in order to put any codes on your main welcome page, you always need to start with a div tag. Then you'd put everything in a table...so, your flash file has to have the full URL in both places and be placed inside the table tags.

See how that works for you

hi Taut

tysvm for getting back to me.

yeah i have everything in a table. I know how to do general codes on msn to get a page up, just have never attempted to put a swf file on the page as well there. i have managed to load the swf file to the documents on the page but still unsure how its meant to read it, but i must be working it out as earlier today everytime i put coding on it was showing all the coding whn i stuck page up live but now its showing no code, but has made room for where the pic should be .

im gonna try pointing the two swf parts in the coding to a full url and see if that works but i tried that earlier and no joy but i dont see how else it will pick it up. Msn is definately a mystery to me, why anyone wants to use it as their main website i have no clue lol

show you what i mean this is it up working fine on a normal webpage (forgive the page it was a working page!!) [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] and this is my msn page im trying to put it to

appreciate your time

hugs, Shelley

lol ive given up with it!!! im sure i will come across someone in the msn community who will tell me what ive done wrong, It really isnt that important for it to be on there it was just an idea!!

I hate Msn for pages !! That group you went to is mine but its not an active group i just have it set up for when i have to do pages for the Pspschool group that i am a co-manager of. I did submit my link here for the psp group earlier , is that the link you mean for me to add over at admins/tds 101?? I do already have my main website listed with you tbab.co.uk but i dont have that one listed here as i didnt really think it was relevant on this site.

Once again ty for all your help , much appreciated

Hugs, Shelley
