The simplest way to set any default is to edit the sql.

For news letter default to yes edit the nuke_config table and set news letter default to 1 instead of 0 and save. That's it.

New users will default to YES when signing up

Imagination-Nuke has this set to YES for default right out of the box. [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

Thanks Bru Max.... I changed it in the scrpt. Thanks for the heads up with this approach. I did not think to look in the nuke_config table. I was looking at the user_table and applying it there. Of course that would be over ridden based on what the user had in the form when they submit. 9 times out of ten they don't even check the options so it was being reverted back to NO.

Good tip.... thanks !!!

BruMax ---

On another topic. I have been trying to get some information on hacks to incorprate the icon in the forum post that indicates that a user has donated via the DONATE mod. I use the mod written by CodeWiz. Do you have any information on where I can find the hack to include that information ?? I suspect it is simple enough.. and needs to be added to one of the Forums tpl files....

P.S. BruMax --- the newletter field is in the nuke_user table not the nuke_config table. At least in my installation icon_smile.gif I had already tried that edit and it would be reset back to 0 from the way the script was constructed.

Instead I edited the script and changed the drop down selection so it defaults to yes instead of no.

Thanks for the suggestion. Perhaps in INuke the script you are using has this edit in it or you have made the Newsletter default configurable in the Preferences panel ? I could not find a newsletter field in the nuke_config table only in the user_table. icon_smile.gif
