I'm having a hard time downloading this block. Your download never initiates, and since I'm on a corporate network, changing security settings to work better with your site is not an option.

Any suggestions?

The CZ Scroll Forums V3 , as mentioned above I modified for our own personal use on our site.
Considering recent events and CZ now asks for a donation to download.
Im not interestesed in releasing or hosting the modified version, But I have been asked on another site if I would mind emailing the modified verson onto someone.

Its more a matter of ethics and respect than a legal issue.
Im not prepared to pass on do so unless the orginal coders give the OK.

In the mean time I have refered them to this thread, untill u guys clairify permissions etc.

Its not the money that Im after. It is the fact that some people don't respect it.

I dont mind if you share what I added to your file. I would prefer that you not give them the full file or we might as well just start giving them out to everyone again.

Yep...I knocked a few more things out after that to lol [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]
I have had a quite a few requests and refer them here...
it IS the ONLY forum scroll block that will show all forums ONLY when one has permission.


Its not the money that Im after. It is the fact that some people don't respect it.

Yeah I know that .....the subject was covered here and several other sites, it miffed a few other coders to m8. I have had a lot of help from Nuke coders over the last 12 months or so, regardless, as with parrot stuff on our site, Its just a matter of ethics to ask 1st.

I would prefer that you not give them the full file or we might as well just start giving them out to everyone again.

If I do pass on with my changes on it still contains your orginal stuff...so best not to OK.
I dont mind lol

PS I have a user info that has a few 'concepts' u may like needs clean and finish l
And my world time needs a bit of maths and code to make it auto update for daylight savings...like the forums scroll, it will be the only block like it that does this (there is another but doesnt work well and very limited)
Also the quick search in your downloads, made a few changes to that u make like to host as a upgraded version? the orginal coder is no longer around.

If a new user completes registarion how does one make it so that they are automatically also added to a group? say members with a gruop id of 7 This group has access to a members only forum.
Or would it be better to add a new enrty in _users or somehere that would then automatically put them in group id 7 upon registration confirmation.?


This is the only draw back of a great block....If it had instructions or something that enables new members to be automatically be added to a 'members' group it would add the final 'polish' to it...
I still cant figure out how to do this.
